Viticulture:
Soil: Calcareous clay.
Detail of the vintage : 2018-BUENA The vegetative cycle was characterized by the abundant rainfall recorded during the winter and spring of 2018, which led to an excellent situation of the vineyard during the first months of the cycle. The sprouting had a delay of 20 days over the previous campaign and a week over the usual average.
The rains continued well into July and together with the high temperatures of the time, created a continuous threat of mildew. From then on the weather changed to dry and sunny until the end of the harvest.
The great availability of water by the plant caused greater average weight of the berry and a diameter higher than usual, with high yields. The wines obtained had a lower alcohol content than years ago and were lighter.
Viniculture:
To enhance aroma and color, the order of fermentations is reversed: malolactic precedes alcoholic. Three months of storage in barrels give complexity to the wine, it is not clarified or filtered before bottling
